Privacy Statement for Championship Kart Racing Association, Inc. Forums

If you agree to the terms and conditions stated below, enter the displayed verification code and press the "Agree" button.

In order to use these forums, users are required to provide a username, password, e-mail address, first and last name. Your username should be comprised of your first and last name. Neither the Administrators of these forums, or the Moderators participating, are responsible for the privacy practices of any user.

These forums are the property of Championship Kart Racing Association, Inc., (CKRA), yet they are here for the benefit of the karting community. Particularly, the members of CKRA and the karters of north-eastern Ohio and the Greater Cleveland area. In order to keep this an informative place for all and to maintain a family friendly environment, there are certain guidelines that need to be followed.

No self-promotion/advertising. Blatant, obvious self-promotion of oneís self or oneís business, or the blatant promotion of anotherís business, will not be tolerated. Repeated subtle attempts to mention oneís business services is the same as advertising. Forum members may include a single link to their personal website or business entity; extended business dealings should be conducted away from these forums. Use of Private Messages facility to solicit business is the appropriate way to make contact with another member. Businesses may post advertisements for their products and services if they are a current CKRA sponsor, have a valid vendor's license in Geauga County, and are approved by the Board of Trustees.

Remember that all information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to share any of your personal information. Any user who finds material posted by another user objectionable is encouraged to contact us via e-mail. We are authorized by you to remove or modify any data submitted by you to these forums for any reason we feel constitutes a violation of our policies, whether stated, implied or not. No inappropriate material will be tolerated. Material must be karting related, or at the least, related to motorsports. Excessive posting of non-karting related material is discouraged. Inappropriate language will not be tolerated. This would include George Carlinís Seven Filthy Words You Can Never Say on TV, plus all associated derivatives. These forums are to be a family friendly environment. This goal is very important to us and will generate strong responses. No Spamming is allowed. Spamming is considered as either posting repeatedly about the same thing (either in a single forum or multiple forums) or starting multiple topics about the same thing. There are other actions that are considered spamming, such as constantly posting off-topic as well as providing links that have nothing to do with the forum at hand. Spam will be deleted without warning. Topics that are designed to start an unruly argument or flame a war will be treated as spam and deleted without warning. Please respect one another when posting information and thoughts on this site. Treat others in your messages as you would like to be treated; respect works both ways. Any blatant insults to others will be deleted.

Please keep posts on-topic. There will be some leniency on this, and we don't mind if you bring in another idea or two, but stay focused. If you think it's a good enough topic, start a new thread about it. This also prevents losing a good idea in a thread about another topic. Threads that wander significantly off-topic may be closed and/or trimmed. Converstations are prohibited. Conversations are for the telephone, or email, but not for these discussion forums. A minimum of friendly banter is to be permitted, but threads with excessive conversations will be deleted or trimmed accordingly. Simply click the send private email icon next to a userís name to send them the conversation in a private email. You'll find that many users would rather you kept the conversation with them private.

No impersonating another member. Attempting to pose as another registered user will not be tolerated and will result in the deletion of that username and the immediate banning of the impersonator. This also applies to not-so-clever variations of registered names.

This site may contain links to other web sites and files. We have no control over the content and can not ensure it will not be offensive or objectionable. We will, however, remove links to material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them.
